Synopsis
Bam Binee has her sights set on a modest civil-service post in the Celestial Palace. When the Heavenly Emperor opens a contest to choose his empress, ambitious women can also earn positions within the palace administration, so Binee enters despite her lack of interest in becoming anyone's consort. Friendships and alliances form, but advancing through the increasingly perilous selection forces her to question what her career dream may demand.
