Synopsis
In postwar Japan, aspiring artist Yoshihiro Tatsumi seeks a place in the rapidly changing manga world while navigating rivalry and strain within his family, especially with his manga-drawing brother. His encounters with established creator Osamu Tezuka and the demands of earning a living push him to reconsider what comics can express and pursue a darker, more adult form of storytelling.
