Synopsis

In 2019, government scrutiny of mass media intensifies as Tokyo prepares for the Olympics, putting manga creators under pressure to avoid material deemed objectionable. Horror author Hibino Mikio is given a chance to publish Dark Walker, a story about an illness that transforms ordinary people into nocturnal cannibals. His opportunity places him at the center of a growing clash between the manga industry and official efforts to restrict expression.
