Synopsis
In Tokyo's slums, reckless youth Joe Yabuki survives through petty crime until former boxer Danpei Tange recognizes his raw talent and pushes him toward the ring. After Joe is imprisoned for his offenses, he encounters Toru Rikiishi, a formidable fighter who exposes the gap between Joe's confidence and his ability. Boxing becomes Joe's path forward—and his personal challenge to overcome Rikiishi.
