Synopsis
Following her parents' divorce, Ann Uekusa leaves Tokyo with her mother for Shimane, where the quiet countryside feels worlds apart from the impersonal city life she knows. Surrounded by neighbors whose openness borders on intrusive, Ann struggles to settle into her new home. A painful upheaval soon challenges her resistance to the community's support and changes what belonging means to her.
