Shounen Shoujo

Synopsis

At an elementary school, a bitter eleven-year-old boy longs to stand apart from a society he sees as bland and interchangeable. When doctors identify him as the first known patient with a fatal new illness, he believes his brief life might earn him a place in history. That hope falters when he encounters a gifted, upbeat girl with the same condition—and an earlier birthday. Determined not to lose his claim to distinction, he considers preventing her illness from reaching its conclusion first.
