Synopsis
At twenty-four, high school teacher Misuzu Hara still carries the emotional consequences of a traumatic encounter from four years earlier, when Hayafuji, her best friend Minako's boyfriend, harmed her. Misuzu has concealed the truth to avoid disrupting Minako's engagement and has tried to explain away what happened as a consequence of being a woman. Her silence and unresolved pain shape the psychological conflict at the heart of her everyday life.
