Synopsis
Nozomu Itoshiki teaches at a high school while interpreting ordinary setbacks as evidence that life is hopeless, often spiraling into self-destructive despair. In his classroom, a withdrawn girl refuses to go home, another appears with unexplained injuries, and an relentlessly cheerful student challenges his gloom. Together with other unconventional classmates, they turn daily school life into a dark, absurd examination of modern society.
