Synopsis
In late nineteenth-century Paris, art dealer Theodorus van Gogh manages a prestigious gallery whose wealthy patrons and conservative gatekeepers treat artistic appreciation as a privilege of the elite. Believing the established order can be challenged from inside, he searches for unconventional talent and promotes paintings that reveal the everyday realities of people ignored by the official art world.
