Synopsis
In historical Japan, unemployed samurai Akitsu Masanosuke struggles to keep work despite his loyalty and swordsmanship, largely because of his timid, awkward manner. His fortunes change when the enigmatic Yaichi hires him as protection. The position draws Masanosuke into the Five Leaves gang, whose kidnappings and hidden motives challenge his principles while awakening his curiosity about its guarded leader.
