Synopsis

At a Japanese high school, Satoru Tsukishima is stunned when Yae Saotome, his boxing-club teammate and the region's reigning female featherweight champion, admits she likes him. Worried that dating could distract her from an approaching title defense—and uneasy about their difference in ability—Satoru hesitates. Their coach instead pairs him with Yae as her trainer, giving them a chance to pursue a secret, awkward romance.
