Synopsis
In the colorful court of Saiunkoku, Shurei Hong hopes to earn a government position despite laws barring women from office. Her noble family's poverty leads her into an unusual assignment: entering the palace as Emperor Ryuki's temporary consort. The secluded ruler avoids his duties and remains inaccessible, leaving Shurei to locate him and push him toward responsible leadership.
