Synopsis
After fleeing abuse at home, a fourteen-year-old girl accepts refuge in the apartment of a man who has been watching her. Authorities treat her disappearance as a kidnapping, while her self-appointed protector struggles with the criminal reality of his actions. Finding comfort in their isolated arrangement, she proposes marriage and makes a grim pact: if they are discovered, neither will survive the consequences.
