Synopsis

In an altered Edo-period Japan, a mysterious illness has devastated the male population, leaving women to manage government, labor, and family life. Men have become scarce and carefully guarded as the source of future generations. Within the shogun's private household, an elite group of handsome men is gathered, creating a tense world of power, duty, and unequal relationships.
