Synopsis
Chakuro, a 14-year-old archivist, lives aboard the Mud Whale, a drifting island crossing an endless sea of sand. Most residents possess supernatural abilities, but those gifts carry a shortened lifespan. When Chakuro explores a neighboring island and encounters a girl from beyond his isolated community, his understanding of the world—and his place within it—begins to unravel.
