Synopsis
In a historical Korean setting, Shim Chong survives by begging to care for her blind father. Her life changes when she pulls a wealthy young woman from a river, shortly before the woman is forced into marriage with an elderly chancellor to settle her family's debts. Bound by unequal circumstances, the two women form a connection amid patriarchal expectations, concealed motives, and feelings neither can easily name.
