Synopsis

On Tsushima, high-school student Gen lives quietly with his frail sister, Misaki, and their caring mother. That peace collapses when monstrous organisms emerge and begin consuming every form of life, from vegetation and wildlife to people. As the creatures change by absorbing what they devour, Gen and the island's inhabitants face a growing threat that could put humanity's survival in question.
