Synopsis

After centuries spent earning a living, a deeply reluctant worker longs to escape his job but cannot afford to stop. In a society shared by humans, elves, orcs, trolls, dragons, and other alien immigrants, tensions and disputes continually create new demands. His survival depends on remaining employed, trapping him in an endless struggle across a volatile frontier.
