Synopsis
In Meiji-era Japan, a government ban on swords drives former samurai and other defiant fighters into rebellion, while crime spreads across the countryside. Three young members of the Kumo family are charged with transporting captured offenders to a remote prison on an island lake. As they carry out this duty, the true purpose behind their assignment begins to come into question.
