Synopsis
Biology student Desharow joins his mentor, Rhine, on an extended voyage from the Russian Maritime Academy. Their expedition takes an unexpected turn in Iceland when they capture a black-scaled merman unlike any creature they have studied. As Desharow investigates the prisoner, he discovers that the encounter may have begun long before the capture—and that the merman sees him as prey.
