Chihayafuru

Synopsis

In sixth grade, Chihaya encounters Arata, a quiet transfer student from Fukui whose dedication to competitive karuta reveals a world she has never considered. Drawn to the traditional card game and surprised by her own quick instincts, Chihaya begins to test herself against Arata and his opponents. Their first meeting plants the seed of a rivalry shaped by talent, ambition, and the complicated emotions of adolescence.
