Synopsis
Vampires control society and rely on specialized banks to obtain human blood. Shell, heir to one such institution, encounters One, a human employee whose authority and composure challenge the hierarchy Shell has inherited. As their attraction develops, Shell must contend with the unusual bond between a powerful vampire accustomed to privilege and a human who refuses to be treated as inferior.
