Synopsis
When Clarisse's kingdom collapses, she expects to share the royal family's fate. Instead, the new rulers spare her because she is still a child, sentencing her to death on her eighteenth birthday. Sent north to live under the Grand Duke's control, Clarisse asks to bring along her only companion—a seemingly ordinary rock. Her uncertain life in the winter castle soon takes an unexpected turn.
