Synopsis
In late-19th-century England, Rwanda grows up hidden beneath his mother's house, whose brutal crimes shape his isolated childhood. After an unexplained incident finally takes him outside, he reaches a nearby town and finds shelter in a nursing home. The safety of institutional life soon feels stifling, leaving Rwanda drawn toward the danger and darkness beyond its walls.
