This is one of our biggest releases yet. More freedom for free users, a more personalised experience for everyone, and a slew of quality-of-life improvements. Let's get into it.
Customisable Explore & Library Pages
Your app, your layout. You can now personalise both the Explore page and the Library page — choose which sections to show, hide the ones you don't use, and reorder them to match how you actually use MangaTime.
More Features, Now Free for Everyone
We've been steadily opening up MangaTime to more users, and 1.21 is another big step in that direction.
Reading Statuses — Plan to Read, On Hold & Dropped
All three of these statuses are now available to free users. Track your full reading journey — not just what you're currently reading or have completed.
Home Widgets
The home screen widgets are now free for everyone too. Add MangaTime to your home screen and keep your reading list one glance away.
Jump to Your Last Read Chapter
In the chapter list of any manga, there's now a dedicated button to jump straight to your last read chapter. No more scrolling through hundreds of entries to find where you left off.
More Reliable Chapter Notifications — With Cover Art for Plus
Chapter release notifications are now more reliable across the board. And for MangaTime Plus users, notifications now include the manga's cover image — so you know at a glance which series just updated.
Manage Your Subscription From Settings
You can now access your subscription management directly from the app's settings page — no more hunting through your device's system settings or the App Store.
List Counter in Your Library
Each list in your library now shows a counter badge next to its name, so you can see at a glance how many manga are in each one.
Improved Manga Reporting Flow
Reporting a manga that has incorrect data is now much easier. We've redesigned the reporting experience with a dedicated full-page flow — clearer options, more context, and easier to submit.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed several bugs affecting the tab behaviour on manga detail pages
- Fixed issues with the filter screens when narrowing down manga in a list
Update Now!
Update MangaTime to version 1.21 and enjoy a faster, smarter, and more immersive reading experience.
What's Next?
We're always working on new features and improvements. Stay tuned for more updates, and as always — thank you for reading and tracking with MangaTime. 🙏
